SDA Entries go live 8:00pm tonight

SDA Entries go live May 3rd 8.00pm for the next two rounds. Round 3 is at Innerleithen and round 2 is at Dunkeld the Scottish Champs. Don’t forget these races go very, very quickly so you must be logged on the SDA website at 8.00pm no later or you won’t get in!!

Descent Gear Clipped in Moelfre

Moelfre Hall was the venue for Decent-Gear’s ‘Clipped-In’ race over the long Easter weekend. We got there around 5-30 pm and it was absolutely pissing down!!!! We even struggled to get the car onto the field to park it was that wet! Once we got set up we decided to go check out the course. Moelfre has been used for numerous NPS rounds in the past and the NPS track was used again here but for a few alterations up the top of the hill. A lot of the lads had raced here before, but for me this was my first time….. What a course!! It has steep sections, double step downs, flat out fast sections, woops, jumps and one nice jump near the finish with the dreaded compressions section right near the end.  ….. Read more »

NDH Round 1 Kidland

Kidland Forest near Rothbury was host to Round 1 of the NDH Series and this time last year it was blazed in beautiful hot sunshine, unfortunately this year was the complete opposite with snow on the top of the hill and rain all weekend which made for one of the wettest races I have ever been to. 

The track had only been ridden for two races last year both of which were in the dry however the weekend forecast was not and the track was really going to be put to the test as the ground had only been snow free for a few days which meant you were riding through 8inchs of slop in places. ….. SDA Entries go live March 1st 8.00pm for the first two rounds. Round 1 is at Pitfichie and will be a push up race held on 25th April 2010. Round 2 is at Glencoe on the 16th May 2010. Don’t forget these races go very, very quickly so you must be logged on the SDA website at 8.00pm no later or you won’t get in!!

iXS Innerleithen registration now open

Round 1 of the 2010 iXS European Cup series comes to the Tweed Valley for May Bank Holiday weekend. In tune with the ethos of the series, the race is open to anybody and there is no requirement for a licence or any ranking points. With many international riders expected to attend on their way to the Fort William World Cup, this is your chance to race with all the big names!
